Description

This disc is the first sound recording tribute to Bob Dyer, it shows that he was indeed one of the most enjoyable of all our pioneer Country Music entertainers. It contains all his eleven commercial 78 rpm sides from 1939-1940 (two in London and nine in Sydney), plus a rare broadcast, probably made in Sydney, about 1940. This reissue confirms that Bob Dyer was one of the most versatile and talented performers to adopt Australia as his homeland.
In the 1940’s amd 50’s Bob Dyer was our most popular radio and television star but he was also a hillbilly singer having recorded these songs in the late 1930’s. Also includes a complete program of Cop The Lot and Pick A Box.
